| Wednesday, November 11 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Christian Petersen Art Museum Veteran’s Day Open House The wars of the twentieth century, their losses and their toll on humanity are a frequent and important theme in the work of Christian Petersen. Though he is often known as “the gentle sculptor,” Petersen gave much attention to the subject of warfare. In honor of Veteran’s Day and all military veterans, University Museums will be giving tours of the exhibition All the Evils: Christian Petersen and the Art of War from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Between the scientific and artistic perspectives, both presenters will explain how they approach the physical presence of animals in manipulating nature's materials so they can see and show what they want to see, need to see, and create new ways of seeing. Wolfgang Weber works in the field of Veterinary Anatomy in support of the teaching laboratories.
