Giving

The Brunnier Art Museum, Farm House Museum, Art on Campus Collection, and the Christian Petersen Art Museum at Morrill Hall  together make up University Museums, committed to presenting the best in aesthetic and cultural opportunities. University Museums exist to foster understanding and delight in the visual arts with a focus on the creative interaction of arts, sciences, and technology; nurture knowledge and appreciation for the university's cultural heritage and its present cultural context; and serve the Iowa State University community and the public as educational and cultural resources. The best way to assure prominence and future strength is to build upon the cornerstone, and in doing so, to invest in the cultural and educational resources at the heart of University Museums. University Museums is committed to cultivating the visual literacy of all students, staff, faculty, and visitors of Iowa State University.

By contributing to University Museums, you support the development of significant exhibitions and provide inspiration to new generations of artists and academicians in an intellectually stimulating environment. Gifts of any level help the University Museums continue to fulfill its mission. We offer you this opportunity to explore the options on how you can help University Museums build on its strengths to create a more promising future. By choosing from a variety of options, you can use your resources to create a living legacy that will expand educational opportunities and elevate the stature of the University Museums.

Include the museum in your estate plans:

The University Museums owes its success to the many significant financial gifts and donations of works of art from donors who have designated the University Museums as a recipient or partial recipient of their estate. By including the University Museums in your will, you are investing in the future of the museums and the enjoyment of art for generations to come. While it is always essential to consult your attorney or tax advisor before creating a will or trust, ISU Foundation representatives are always available to talk with you about your ideas and bequest plans.

How to make a gift:

There are a variety of ways to make gifts to University Museums. These include gifts of cash, securities, gifts of real property, gifts of art, and planned gifts such as bequests and charitable remainder trusts. The University Museums hope you will consider making a difference with a gift this year. For further information on giving opportunities, please contact Lynette Pohlman at 515-294-3342 or lpohlman@iastate.edu.
