Are You Planning a Graduation, Retirement, Alumni Reception or Special Event?


The Brunnier Art Museum, Christian Petersen Art Museum, and Farm House Museum offer unique, cultural and educational settings to campus departments and colleges for special events!

 

  • BRUNNIER ART MUSEUM
    Groups of up to 200 people may enjoy the Brunnier’s decorative and fine arts.  With its ever changing menu of temporary and permanent exhibitions, the Brunnier offers a visually stimulating and intellectually exciting setting for campus events.

 

  • CHRISTIAN PETERSEN ART MUSEUM
    University Museums’ newest art museum provides a visually dynamic setting for groups of 75 to 150 people.  Located in the newly renovated historic Morrill Hall at the heart of the campus, the Christian Petersen Art Museum provides two gallery spaces with changing contemporary art exhibitions.  Your guests will have the opportunity to experience works of art by the nation’s first sculptor in residence, Christian Petersen, as well as contemporary public works of art.

 

  • FARM HOUSE MUSEUM
    Small intimate groups will enjoy the parlor at the Farm House Museum, with its historical artifacts and furnishings dating from 1860 to the early 1900s.  Larger groups may consider a lawn party on the beautiful grounds of the Farm House Museum overlooking central campus.

 

Catering of Food, Beverage, and Event Setup
The primary caterer for all food and beverage arrangement will be Iowa State Dining Services.  Consideration should be made when selecting the food and/or beverages to be served at private, as well as public, events and receptions.  Red wine, red sauces, fruit punch, and candles or sterno burners are prohibited in all museums.  Menus must be pre-approved by University Museums. The type of exhibition and terms of loaned works of art must be taken into consideration, as well as the potential for stains or clean-up problems.  The repair, replacement or art conservation expense for any property damage incurred by event participants during the Contractor’s event, will be the responsibility of the Contractor.

Reservations
Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance of the event.  

Cancellation Policy
Facility rental cancellations made within seven days prior to the event date will be charge a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within seven days of the event date will be charged a $250 cancellation fee.
