March 25, 2018, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (US Central)

Location:
Scheman Building

Some of the earliest glass objects created throughout the world were beads. The story of glass beads spans thousands of years and the importance of these tiny pieces of glass to many diverse cultures goes far beyond their diminutive size. Join University Museums Assistant Curator, Adrienne Gennett, as she explores how glass beads came to be so significant and influential, using examples from University Museums permanent collection and images of beads from around the world.
