In conjunction with the exhibition Perceptions of Identity: Paintings by Rose Frantzen and future mural installation at the Gerdin Busines Building, artist Rose Frantzen will give a talk on her recent studio and public artworks. Recognized nationally for her contemporary portraiture and landscape paintings, Maquoketa native Frantzen is an important artist in University Museums’ collection. This evening will offer an opportunity to hear about Frantzen’s artistic philosophy and process. This in-person event will have a limited audience capacity and requires pre-registration. A recording of the program will be available after the event on the University Museums’ YouTube page.

This program has limited seating. Attendees must pre-register via the online calendar system. Registration spots are first come, first served; however there will be a waiting list in case there is a cancellation.
Masks are required for all program attendees per Iowa State University policy. Seating will be placed 6 feet apart and we kindly ask that all attendees respect physical distancing. Chairs will be cleaned both before and after the program. Hand sanitizers will be available at the entrance to each museum.

Visiting University Museums includes possible exposure to and serious illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. Attend/visit at your own risk. University Museums does recognize the possibility of a second outbreak and that things may change.
