Art Walk: Painted Murals in Public Art

An Exploration of Materials in Public Art is the theme for this semester’s Art Walks hosted by University Museums’ staff and docents. Each walk will be centered on a singular material that makes up a majority of the selected public art presented in the walk. The tours will discuss artist, process, and innovation in materials. Meet tour guide Sydney Marshall in the Anderson Sculpture Garden, east side of the Hub.

Monthly on Wednesdays at noon

January 26: Metalwork, begins in Biorenewables Complex Atrium
February 23: Textiles, begins at Jischke Honors Building Lobby
March 30: Glass, begins at Beardshear Hall Second Floor Rotunda
April 27: Painted Murals, begins at Anderson Sculpture Garden (near the Hub)
May 25: Ceramics, Lagomarcino Hall Courtyard
June 29: Stone, begins at Kildee Hall Lobby
July 27: Wood, begins at Scheman Building, 1st Floor Atrium
