Recent Art on Campus Acquisitions and Collection Care
Iowa State University is home to one of the largest campus public art programs in the United States. Over 2,500 public works of art make up the Art on Campus Collection, and are located across campus in buildings, courtyards, open spaces and classrooms. Learn more about the recently acquired public works of art and discover first-hand how these artworks are taken care of with University Museums’ Curator, Sydney Marshall. This tour will begin at the Elizabeth and Byron Anderson Sculpture Garden, please meet at the Bighorn sculpture by Gwynn Murrill.

Did you know that Iowa State University is home to the largest campus public art collection in the United States? Over 3,000 public works of art make up the Art on Campus Collection and are located across campus in buildings, courtyards, open spaces and classrooms. Join the University Museums staff throughout the day for Art on Campus focused tours that celebrate and explore this diverse collection. Tours will occur at various sites around campus throughout the day with details announced in May, 2021.
The Anderson Sculpture Garden is located around Morrill Hall, 603 Morrill Rd. The Art on Campus Collection public works of art are located in buildings, courtyards, and common spaces across campus. Admission is free. Hours may vary by building, outdoor sculpture available 24/7. Parking available at the Memorial Union Ramp (fees apply).
