Join us in celebrating Joe Patrick and the exhibition Parallels: The Architecture of Impermanence currently on view in the Brunnier Art Museum. In his paintings, Joe Patrick finds his inspiration in the Oaxacan marketplaces he has been visiting for nearly 40 years, and in his portrait drawings he depicts moments in time upon the faces of many friends in both Iowa and Mexico. Brief remarks by the artist and University Museums Assistant Curator Adrienne Gennett will begin at 2:30. Light refreshments.
