Gather in the exhibition All the Evils… Christian Petersen and the Art of War in Morrill Hall for a gallery walk led by guest curator Dr. Lea Rosson DeLong focusing on the sculpture The Unknown Political Prisoner. Recent research completed at the Museums of Modern Art and the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives for American Art shed new light on Petersen’s sculpture and will be discussed during the tour. Learn about this sculpture’s entry into an international competition, and its placement in the larger context of American art history.
