CONTINUING A LEGACY & BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
After several years of planning, University Museums is in the midst of an extensive renovation project for the Brunnier Art Museum. The project includes a new all-glass entrance to the museum, a modernized collections vault and renovated office space for University Museum staff. The renovation will expand exhibition space to showcase a larger portion of the museum's renowned permanent collection as well as maintain national accreditation for collections storage. Construction began in February 2019 and is scheduled to be done by the end of the summer.
It is anticipated that the Museum will reopen to the public in mid-September 2019, marking the 44th anniversary of the Brunnier Art Museum.
DURING THE CLOSURE
Students, faculty and visiting scholars will have continued access, by appointment, to the museums' permanent collection. Both the Christian Petersen Art Museum in Morrill Hall and Farm House Museum on central campus will remain open to the public with changing exhibitions and an active public programming schedule.
