Brunnier Art Museum Renovation Project

CONTINUING A LEGACY & BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

After several years of planning, University Museums is preparing for an extensive renovation project for the Brunnier Art Museum. The project will include a new all-glass entrance to the museum, a modernized collections vault and renovated office space for University Museum staff. The renovation will expand exhibition space to showcase a larger portion of the museum's renowned permanent collection as well as maintain national accreditation for collections storage. Construction is slated to begin in February 2019.

It is anticipated that the Museum will reopen to the public in mid-September 2019, marking the 44th anniversary of the Brunnier Art Museum.

DURING THE CLOSURE

Students, faculty and visiting scholars will have continued access, by appointment, to the museums' permanent collection. Both the Christian Petersen Art Museum in Morrill Hall and Farm House Museum on central campus will remain open to the public with changing exhibitions and an active public programming schedule.
