BRUNNIER ART MUSEUM CLOSED FOR MAJOR RENOVATION

This past January 2018, after several years of planning, the Brunnier Art Museum at Iowa State University closed to begin the preparations for an extensive renovation project. The expanded exhibition and programmatic spaces will showcase a greater number of the museum's renowned permanent collection objects, as well as host high-impact loaned exhibitions. Feasibility and design development for the project occurred over the past year and will continue through fall 2018. Construction is slated to begin in January 2019.

It is anticipated that the Museum will reopen to the public in mid-September 2019, marking the 45th anniversary year of the opening of the Brunnier Art Museum.

FUNDING THE FUTURE

Remodeling and updating the Brunnier Art Museum and storage vault is the highest priority for University Museums at this time. The Director's Suite is one of the several remaining undesignated naming opportunities for this project. Depending upon the level of commitment to the overall project, recognition may include the naming opportunities for spaces.

If you would like more information, please contact Lynette Pohlman, Director and Chief Curator of University Museums, at lpohlman@iastate.edu or 515.294.3342 or Rachael Karriker, Associate Director of Development, at rkarriker@foundation.iastate.edu or 515.294.0546.
