Yuletide at the Farm House Open House recognizes the holiday traditions of the Victorian Era

Visitors of all ages stopped by the Farm House Museum this past weekend for the Yuletide at the Farm House Museum Open House. Activities included tours of the historic house, holiday crafts and a jolly visit from Santa.

Bottom left: Santa catches up with Eleanor Ostendorf. Eleanor is a former curator of the Farm House Museum and was employed by University Museums for over 20 years. She retired in 2007. Her knowledge and expertise in 19th and 20th century history of the state of Iowa compliments her exceptional ability to provide informational and entertaining Farm House Museum tours for people of all ages. Her extraordinary enthusiasm and passion for Iowa State University helped create a vibrant museum environment at the Farm House Museum.
